"The World Before": Adrienne Stein Virtual Solo Exhibition at Gallery 1261

It has been an intense but beautiful season here. My virtual solo show at Gallery 1261, “The World Before”, opened last week and our baby boy is due this week! This show features landscape paintings inspired by traveling through England and France in 2019. Life is a whirlwind as my husband Quang and I prepare our home and lives for the arrival of our first child. Painting for this show has been a gift, as it kept me focused on my art even in the midst of the other chaos of life and the challenges of pregnancy, but it also allowed me to dwell on memories of an era that now feels so distant. It’s a love letter to the past, of sorts. I dearly miss traveling. I’ve titled this show “The World Before” as these works belong to a world that has changed forever. Personally, collectively… it’s all about to change forever. It’s terrifying but also profoundly beautiful.
